Probably the most famous restaurant is Astrid&Gaston which has now got branches worldwide including Madrid and Mexico DF amongst others. But there are many other internationally recognised restaurants scattered throughout the city.
The museums in Lima are the best to be found anywhere in Peru with the National Museum and the National Arqueological museum excellent though for tourists the more popular stops are the Gold Museum and the private collection museum with it’s very exclusive collection.
Just south of Lima you have the Nazca lines a series of ancient geoglyphs located in the desert south of Lima, close by we have the marine reserve of Paracas and the Ballestas islands a mini Galapogos. These can all be combined together to form a three day two night tour and includes the opportunity to go sand boarding or dune buggy riding at Huacachina near to the town of Ica.
